Commission Status: Open
Incoming requests will be responded to as soon as possible.
Commission Guidelines:
I am able to write a lot of different styles of music, but there are some I’m more comfortable with than others. Check out my music page to get a feel for my music. If you like what you hear, shoot me an email and we’ll chat!
Please be clear with what you’re looking for: vision, direction, context (and even musical examples if you happen to have rough ideas) will help me do my job immensely.
I may refuse offers that I don’t believe I’m a good fit for, or that I think are lacking in clear direction or vision.
Pricing
Individual Tracks (one piece of music)
Send me an email! We’ll figure out the scope of what you’re looking for and settle on a price.
Long-Term Projects (Film scores, soundtracks, etc.)
This includes multiple tracks written over a development cycle or other long period of time.
My current minimum rate is $50 per finished minute of music.
Depending on the scale of the music you’re looking for (a few instruments vs full orchestra) that rate may increase.
Percussion Works
As this is an incredibly variable and complex field of instrumentation, send me an email! I’d love to write some percussion music for you :D
Payments
Payments are accepted through PayPal or Venmo. Prices are in USD.
I will send an invoice once a price is agreed upon (long term projects will be invoiced accordingly).
Individual tracks and percussion works
Payment does not have to be made up front, but is required before I send the final product.
Long-term projects
I may ask for up to 50% (as one payment or in installments) of the projected final price up front. This can be negotiated so we can find a good middle ground for our financial situations. The full amount is required before I send the final product.
Prior to completion, I will send preview, “work-in-progress” files as 128kbps .mp3 files.
Final products will be sent as lossless .wav and 320kbps .mp3 files.
Terms & Conditions
For individual tracks, you reserve the right to use the track however you wish. I only ask that I am credited, although I take no responsibility for the way the final product is used.
For long-term projects, licensing will be discussed separately as part of our contract.
Percussion
Publication may be discussed as part of the commission, if the commissioner wishes. If not discussed, I reserve the right to pursue my own avenues of publication as I see fit.
World premiere and timed exclusive performance rights may be discussed.
